What's with pen guy?

Just an observation from my day of school...I'm in physics lab this morning and have with me a 600 pages lab manual, text book, protractor, compass, colored pencils, no. 2 pencils, flashlight, and a home-made periscope (made from two cereal boxes, I made sure to carry it around with me all day since it was so cool looking) which were all required items... AND this guy walks in with just a pen! Seriously, how unprepared can you be?

the lock-in

This past Friday we headed down to Connection Church and Eastern Michigan University's Rec. Center for the EMC lock-in. The night started with a service that I will never forget.

It went a little something like this:

Great worship with the Under One Band, Everfree Master's Commission did an beautiful human video and Chilly Chilton spoke an incredible message, then he asked students to come to the front...and no one moved. (at this point I was scared.) Then, after a few moments (felt like an hour) this one guy stands up and goes to the front ALONE...followed (this is the unforgetable part) by 100 more students. What an awesome moment to see how one student's brave move encouraged 100 more to stop being embarrased and move from their seats to the front to meet with God.

One of my fellow bloggers, Elyse (who's in high school), brought her friend Kyle to the lock-in, check out his expereince on her blog. Yee-Haw

I was welcomed home by country music yesterday, aparently a local country music station was broadcasting from the bridal store across the street and playing loud enough for all of Caro to hear. And, I was trying to watch Oprah....grrr to country music.
